Katia Griffiths, born on August 4, 1982, in London, is a Spanish-British freestyle skier specialized in halfpipe, who brought her love for snow all the way to the Sochi 2014 Olympics. She grew up in Spain and took her first steps on skis in Andorra at around 5 years old, and since then the mountains have become part of her DNA. In the World Cup circuit, she recorded her best results in 2009 in La Plagne and in 2011 in Kreischberg (two fifth places), demonstrating technique and consistency. Beyond her competitive career, Katia is an ambassador for the Thermowave brand, a meeting point for sport, sustainability, and innovation, and she studied environmental sciences. Her passions range from yoga to surfing, all disciplines that integrate body, mind, and nature into her sporting lifestyle.
