Stephan Eberharter portrait medal

Stephan Eberharter, born in 1969 and residing in Stumm, in the Austrian Zillertal, was one of the most iconic athletes in alpine skiing between the 1990s and early 2000s. He made his World Cup debut in the fall of 1989 in Park City, United States, in giant slalom, beginning a career rich in successes and challenges faced with character. His palmares includes four Olympic medals (one gold, two silvers, and one bronze), four World Championship medals (three golds and one silver), and as many as seven World Cup globes, numbers that testify to a career of extraordinary continuity and prestige. Considered among the great interpreters of speed disciplines, Eberharter left an indelible mark on the history of Austrian and international alpine skiing.
