Irene Curtoni: from competition to the voice of sport

Irene Curtoni is a former Italian alpine skier, specialized in speed disciplines, particularly downhill and super-G. Her first World Cup podium came on March 16, 2016, in St. Moritz, Switzerland, in the super-G discipline. Throughout her career, she participated in several editions of the World Championships and represented Italy at the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympics. Among her most significant results is the bronze medal won in Åre, Sweden, in 2019 in the team event, testament to her value and ability to make a difference even in collective contexts. After retiring from competition, she embarked on a new career as a technical commentator, bringing her experience and insight to the broadcasting of alpine ski races.
